The first of this season’s websites is now live!

Ain’t she pretty?  When she first emailed me her headshots for the site, I was consumed with how friggin’ beautiful she is.  The next time I talked to her, she said, “I just looked at your picture - we could be sisters!”  And I said, “Well, then I must be really, really vain.”

Lauren came to me through Angelique. She’s been an awesome client, great to collaborate with. She also turned me onto her boyfriend’s band, IO ECHO, whose live radio appearance we listened to together while noodling her website over gmail chat.

Congratulations to Lauren on her new website, hope it serves her well.

My new favorite coffee shop (Red Horse in Park Slope) is my new favorite coffee shop in part because they put coffee ice cubes in the iced coffee.

I mean.  Is there any surer sign of love?

I got the craving for Iced Green Tea today, and made some lemon-limeade to mix with it. In inspired homage to Red Horse, I froze the lemon-limeade into super tartilicious ice cubes and put them in my iced tea.

ZOW I say. I say ZOW.

They are concentrated little explosions of citrusy, lip-pursing goodness. Also delicious thrown into a glass of cold water.

June 15th will be the final rehearsal for this spring’s Soundpainting workshop. We worked this season on exploring the use of Soundpainting and multiple translations in relation to Eugéne Ionesco’s play, The Bald Soprano (written originally in French as La Cantatrice Chauve). Working title: The Professional Singer Bald Person (a concert deconstruction of The Bald Soprano).
